Have a Happy, Healthy and Prosperous New
Year!
Several
days of holidays are already gone. This festive time most people celebrated
with families and friends by eating well planed homemade holiday meals, opening
gifts, talking, perhaps even singing and overall having a really good
time. Now it’s the final moment of a decent
year as we are approaching the last long weekend of this year.
As a
nutritionist I would say that eating real whole food is important during the
holidays and it doesn't have to be difficult. Here is a good tip. Once you understand
the impact of healthy eating on your health and once you detoxify your kitchen
cabinets, it becomes natural to eat healthy food.
You don’t need to count
calories. I always indicate that
this is one of the most unwise principle of healthy and balanced eating.
Instead, healthy eating should become a lifestyle.
If you are new to this concept and
your daily eating needs a change, check my website and book a consultation to
find out what modifications would be beneficial to your health or weight.
Perhaps this could be your New Year’s
resolution! I am positive that my customized nutrition and lifestyle plan can
most noticeably change your life.
And cooking doesn't have to be a
struggle, remember! You just have to learn how to do it.
Here are few tips to consider
this week and months to come.
Start
with one tip at a time and then move on to the next advice. Don’t get yourself
overwhelmed.
·
Eliminate
unhealthy fats - trans fats and vegetable oils. Instead use coconut oil, extra virgin
olive oil, avocado, nuts.
·
If you eat
dairy (I don’t recommend), choose rather organic fermented products such as
yogurt or kefir.
·
Eliminate
(completely) pop beverages, energy drinks and any sweetened beverages. Instead
drink filtered water, unsweetened green tea or herbal tea (any you like).
·
Eat meat
grass – fed and organic. Eliminate any processed meat products.
·
Replace
wheat flour with almond flour and margarine with butter.
·
Replace sugar
with fruits.
·
Avoid
artificial food additives such as sweeteners, colorants and synthetic
preservatives.
·
Learn how
to cook own meals at home!
·
If you
work outside your home, bring a lunch you love to eat.
·
Plan
ahead and prep your dinners.
·
If you don’t
know how to make the changes, get support.

suggestions, please forward this article to your friends, family or co-workers
